IATA reports signs of a turning point in China domestic air travel

IATA chief economist Brian Pearce, via IATA's third assessment of the impact of the coronavirus on the airline industry, reported (24-Mar-2020) there are signs of a turning point in China domestic air travel. However, compared to SARS the initial decline in travel due to coronavirus has been much more severe. IATA reported passenger yields are stabilising in China's domestic market, although when including international travel, China's passenger yields have fallen 25% year-on-year or more.
